MUX in Education

Research project in the field of Techno-Anthropology:
The applicability of virtual reality games in upper secondary education.

ABSTRACT

This project revolves around how the virtual reality game MuX, developed by Decochon, have properties that might be deemed suitable in education. The empirical foundation consists of two workshops that emphasize the explorative and collaborative elements of Mux, and an interview with a teacher of how he approaches educational technologies. Thereby, we strive to uncover how MuX expands and encompasses several aspects of the student’s learning process, creating key elements such as experimenting and creativity. Post-phenomenology, experiential learning and participatory design constitute the collective theoretical framework of the project.
