A Day of Design Thinking at Quarry Bay School
In a one-of-a-kind workshop, I had the privilege of facilitating a day-long design thinking session for 72 teachers at Quarry Bay School in Hong Kong. Hosted by MakerBay Foundation, the event was centered around the theme of reducing waste on campus. From defining the problem to prototyping solutions, the day was a whirlwind of creativity and innovation. One standout idea? A "smart sheep" that shreds and melts plastics into new toys when fed with waste materials—crazy, fun, and incredibly imaginative! This workshop wasn't just about coming up with creative solutions; it was about empowering educators to instill problem-solving and life-long skills in their students. The experience was a testament to the transformative power of design thinking in educational settings.
