Hacking the Barcoder & Exploring New Sounds

The Design Thinking Ideathon was the launch event of a new community of music and maker enthusiasts in Hong Kong, who will reinvent music by hacking old abandoned electronics.

In this two-day innovation marathon we explored new ideas for recycling old electronics. Participants teamed up and created new musical instruments using the barcoders developed by ELECTRONICOS FANTASTICOS. The event was full of creative ideas, interesting discussions and learning experiences. Every team explored different materials, technologies and forms, and made a prototype to demonstrate their concept.
